149. Andreas Roman

"I'm pretty, wouldn't you say?". A funny and pretty mermaid by Andreas Roman, the author of books like "När änglar dör", "Drakväktare" and "Mörkrädd". He uses fantasy and horror when he writes.. and told us how he decorated the walls of his office.. with scary pictures! For inspiration.. huh. Here's his blog, Att Levla

145. Elisabet Norin

Elisabet Norin drew this cute and funny mermaid, alike a horse or a hippo. Elisabet visited us at Sörängen together with the students that took the distance writing class that she was supervising. She's a writer and a reviewer.

143. Nicklas Österlund

A cool underwater world with signs, laughing sharks, hooks and garbage from humans in the shape of mines from WWII, drawn by my sister's boyfriend Nicklas. Funny, yet a bit scary (humans exploitation of the seas)

138. Elin Isvind

Elin Isvind's humorous mermaid :) You find her blog here

135. Henrik Lange

Henrik Lange wrote "80 romaner för dig som har bråttom" where he would sum up a classic novel on only one page. Really funny reading.

Book fair 2008: 26 mermaids

132. _____________

120. Malin Biller

This mermaid made me laugh! I love the way she breaks the pattern of the beautiful, vain mermaid with long wavy hair.. and instead we got this big lady, with a small chest and tired eyes. Gotta love it! Why can't a mermaid look like this? "Ugly" vs beautiful. This proves you can draw a mermaid.. anyway you like! No limits. This cool mermaid is drawn by Malin Biller and you can find her website here.

116. Ola Lindholm

Ola drew a funny cow-mermaid! He has been a tv-host for 'Myror i brallan', 'Wild kids' among other shows, and he is the editor in chief of kamratposten, so I met him and the Cat Nils at the same place at the book fair.

114 & 115 Johanna Kristiansson & Joakim Gunnarsson

The catfish Nils! Johanna & Joacim from Kamratposten drew their comic cat Nils as a mermaid.. or catfish? So adorable!

113. ________

112. Jonas Darnell

Jonas Darnell also drew his comic character, Herman Hedning, as a mermaid!

Nr. 97 Jan Nilsson

A trip to Byxelkrok in Öland where my grandmother (on my father's side) had a house by the sea. 2008 I decided to visit every atelier I could find, along with the mermaid book.

Jan Nilsson drew this funny "mermaid"! Resembling a frog with big lips to kiss with. He knows ALOT about different species among fish, and his atelier is filled with them, made out of of wood, very realistic.

Her second mermaid years later:

Nr. 7 Anna Torstensson

Anna drew this funny little mermaid that had to see what her tail tastes like, nr. 7.
Sometimes someone wants to draw again! Here's her second:
